Sodom and Gomorrah, Mohenjo-Daro – Do The Ancient Texts Describe Nuclear Explosions And Weapons?
Nuclear power and the weapons that followed it, are developments of the twentieth century, right? But were they invented, or re-invented?
As preposterous as it may be to some, there are people who firmly believe that nuclear power was possessed in the distant past, and what’s more, they say, there is evidence still to this day, that this power was utilized and weaponized.

Ancient Civilizations Destroyed?
The ancient cities of Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa were discovered in the 1920s in what is now modern-day Pakistan.
Their discovery essentially proved the truth, albeit in part, in ancient writings and texts that claimed the cities were once home to a great civilization right across the Indus Valley – a civilization so great as to rival those of ancient Egypt and even those of Mesopotamia – and one that had mysteriously vanished almost overnight.
Further discovery demonstrated that the cities boasted great planning and even “modern day” amenities. The houses were furnished with brick built baths and even toilets, while the sewer and drainage system were also sophisticated – with generous supplies of “public” drinking water.
However, as is seen in any modern day metropolis today, the clean streets and exceptional architecture ran alongside a seemingly darker and unsavory part of the city. In the uppermost levels, there were found basic “make-shift” housing that appeared to be set up around various industrial sites.

Perhaps most notably though, was the discovery of forty skeletons that were scattered around the streets – as if they had died instantly and without warning – all indications being they had suffered a violent and painful end.
British researcher and writer, David Davenport, spent more than a decade researching Mohenjo-Daro and it’s sudden demise, which resulted in the book Atomic Destruction In 2000 BC – a book in which he claimed what was responsible was nothing less than a nuclear explosion!
Davenport essentially stated that according to the Mahabharata texts the cities were destroyed using a weapon called “Agneya” – the following is text that Davenport quoted from the ancient writing:

Water boiled…horses and war chariots were burned by the thousands… the corpses of the fallen were mutilated by the terrible heat so that they no longer looked like human beings…”
Do the ancient texts describe the use of nuclear weapons in the past?
Davenport stated there were indications of solids being fused at the site – something that would take a temperature of 1500 degrees Celsius to achieve before quickly cooling after, and all around where he claimed the epicenter of the blast took place there was further evidence of fusion and crystallization. This he said was proof of an explosion – a nuclear explosion.
According to Davenport “at least one of the skeletons” that were tested had extremely high levels of radiation – something that led him to compare the site to Nagasaki in Japan following the dropping of the atomic bomb at the end of the Second World War.
His theory was met with much interest and almost reserved “support” – perhaps most notably Professor Antonio Castellani, a space engineer in Rome who said, “it's possible that what happened at Mohenjo-Daro was not a natural phenomenon!”
If what Davenport claims is true, then it raises the question of how advanced some of the ancient civilizations actually were. If it had indeed been a weapon and not an accidental explosion that brought this civilization to a screeching halt, who created that weapon, and why? And where did the technology and the civilization that allegedly unleashed it disappear to?
It is not that Mahenjo-Daro is an isolated incident – at least in theory.
The Bible, to some, clearly describes a nuclear assault on the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and even tells why – the towns had turned into what was seen by “The Lord” as a pit of "sexual depravity", including the perceived sin in such times of homosexual relations, as well as bestiality. Whether you agree with this theory or not, you can do a little more reading here about alleged recent finds concerning the ancient cities.

Descriptions Of Nuclear Weapons In The Bible?
“Genesis 19”, tells of “two angels” who arrive at Sodom and are greeted by a man called Lot. Lot takes them to his house to offer them food and shelter for the night. However, as described in verse 4, the townsfolk had soon descended upon his house:
“(4)Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. (5) They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can know (have sex) with them.”
Lot spoke with the crowd and begged them to leave the men alone, even offering the crowd his daughters who had “never slept with a man. Let me bring them to you and you can do whatever you like with them” – to which the crowd demanded he get out of their way before trying to break into the house.
Verse 10 describes how the “angels” blinded the crowd with one device or another:

“(10) But the men inside (angels) reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door. (11) Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.”
They then went on to inform Lot to gather his family and leave the city as “The Lord” was going to destroy it:
“(12) The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, (13) because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.”
Lot did as instructed and with the “angels” his family fled the city before dawn – they instructed Lot to run away from the cities and into the mountains so that he would not “be swept away” in what was coming. Lot asked the angels if he might be able to instead flee to a small town (Zoar) which might be spared. The angles agreed and as the “sun came up over the land” and with Lot now in Zoar the “Lord rained sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah” as he “destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.”
Is this the "pillar of salt" that Lot's wife was turned to?
Verse 26 also speaks of the death of Lot’s wife, who despite being told not to, “...looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.” What is interesting here is that if someone was to be caught up in a nuclear assault this is how they would essentially end up, while heading to the mountain would be what anyone hoping to survive the aftermath of a nuclear blast would be best off doing.

Was the Bible describing a planned nuclear assault on the two cities? Could homosexual behavior and so-called other depraved sexual acts really be the reason for this, and if so why? Why was Lot spared and seemingly immune to the “behavior” of the rest of the town? Maybe it is worth noting that the following verses speak of Lot’s own daughters disguising themselves and getting their father drunk in order to become pregnant with his child to “preserve their bloodline!” And was the device the “angel” used to blind the crowd some kind of advanced technology?
