The Many Theories And Conspiracies Of Jesus Christ And Mary Magdalene
While some people claim the story of Jesus Christ is nothing more than an allegory for the Sun (which we will look at shortly), others very much believe that he existed – and indeed there are many records that would appear to back this up.
That is not to say that all of these people believe him to have been the “son of God”, or to have had any “divine power!” Much more likely – to them – that he was an intelligent and articulate man, who had the ability to engage great swaths of people. Indeed, if that was true, then it is perhaps understandable where the legends of Jesus’ life stem from.
It is said that Jesus was as much of a concern to religious leaders at the time as he was to the Roman Empire. There are various reasons and theories as to why this was. Some of which we will look at shortly, but not least the theories as to the relationship he may or may not have had with one, Mary Magdalene.
Perhaps when looking at the many conspiracies surrounding Jesus Christ, it is best to start, not with his birth or his life, but with his apparent death.

Crucifixion Conspiracies And Connections To The South Of France
According to some, Jesus didn’t die upon the cross as religions have told for the last two-thousand years, but he survived what was essentially, an elaborate scheme to have Jesus “disappear!” These theories suggest that Jesus was in fact sedated to give the authentic appearance of death. He was then removed from the cross while unconscious, taken to the tomb to lay in rest. Only those who were in on the plan would return under the cover of darkness to remove his body, and then suggest it to be an act of divinity when it was discovered his body was no longer there.
This theory is perhaps even more believable when you realize that the ground upon which Jesus was said to have been crucified actually belonged to his uncle, Joseph of Arimathea, who was an extremely influential person, in many aspects of society of his time. Furthermore, the crucifixion – according to all records of it – was viewed by people from a considerable distance, certainly not close enough to be able to ascertain visually that Jesus had died. You can read a little more about this here.
There is some circumstantial, but supportive, evidence that this may be true. One of the most intriguing is perhaps a piece of artwork in a small church in the French town of Rennes-le-Chateau – the 14th Station of the Cross – discovered by researcher Pat Jokl, who has spent over a decade researching and investigating the bloodlines and true history of Christ.
Jokl noticed that the scene shows the body of Jesus being moved from the cave following his death. However, the scene appears to be taking place at night. Jokl believes this to be a discreet clue that Jesus had indeed survived the crucifixion, as according to Jewish tradition, a dead body must not be touched during night hours. This – the theory suggests – means Jesus was in fact alive. You can read a little more about this here.

The church itself has a background awash with conspiracy and rumor, some of which we will look at shortly, not least because of the part of France it is situated.
Many researchers firmly believe that Jesus, having essentially faked his own death, made his way to the southern France (French Gaul). And what’s more, he wasn’t alone, as the area and its history again attest.
Firstly, the area was one of the main Roman controlled areas outside of Rome, and Pontius Pilate – the man responsible for sentencing Jesus to death – also had a substantial residence there. There was also, according to some researchers, a large Jewish community in this part of the world at this time. Then when you consider the legends of a group called the Desposyni (which means “Of The Lord”), who claimed in the first centuries AD to be direct descendants of Jesus. Legend also claims that they were hunted down at the behest of the church and wiped from existence.
Each of these things, at least in part and circumstantially, support the idea that Jesus, possibly as part of a deal between Pilate and Joseph of Arimathea, made his way here. Those same theories also suggest he was joined by his wife, Mary Magdalene.
Numerous churches in this region of France have churches bearing Mary Magdalene’s name, certainly suggesting she – or the idea of her – had great influence and adulation in the area. When the Gnostic Gospels were discovered in the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1948, they appeared to confirm that Mary Magdalene was indeed the wife of Jesus, and furthermore, her influence in her own right was greater than just a mere partner. Indeed, many have interpreted these writings, as well as the aforementioned high regard with which she is held in what appears to be her adoptive homeland, that she was at least “on a par” with Jesus.
Further theories even suggest that the couple had at least one child, possibly two. Some sight to the references of Jesus teaching in the temples of proof that he must have married and fathered a child, given Jewish teachings at the time ruled anyone teaching in the temple must have done these things.
The video below looks at some of the conspiracies surrounding Jesus and Mary Magdalene, and you can read a little more about the Gnostic Gospels here.

Rennes-le-Chateau
Of all the churches in this region of France though, it is the small church we mentioned earlier in the quiet and otherwise sleepy village of Rennes-le-Chateau, and more particularly, an apparent find by the priest of the run down church in 1897, Berringer Sauniere.
No-one knows for sure what exactly Sauniere found (if anything), but he and his church went from the depths of poverty to the heights of riches and plenty, almost literally overnight. There are several theories as to what was found, but each of them returns to the fact that Sauniere had apparently discovered proof that Jesus (and Mary and their children) had fled to the south of France, and the teachings of the church were wrong. Whether he blackmailed the church, or his silence was bought is not known, but the wealth certainly came from somewhere, and it is unlikely he could have “sold” any kind of significant treasure so quietly, or quickly.
Many believe the find to have been of a family tomb somewhere under the church or in the church grounds – a tomb that belonged to Jesus, Mary and possibly their children – and this find led to a blackmailing of the Vatican. Interestingly or not, the sudden death of Berringer Sauniere did nothing to dampen the theories of his find and knowledge. The church, as well as the entire village, attracts many people to the area, looking for proof the Bloodlines of Jesus theories.

Nothing More Than An Allegory For The Sun?
Of course, it is most likely, particularly given the wealth of similar stories and legends from thousands of years before Jesus supposedly existed, that he and the story of his life was nothing more than an allegory for the sun, and more particularly, its journey through the houses of the Zodiac. In fact, if you subscribe to the theory, many elements around the stories and legends of Jesus are purely allegorical.
For example, the well-known story of Jesus turning water into wine can be seen as nothing more than sowing the seed into the land, allowing the rain (the water) to grow the seed into fruit (or grapes in this case) and then taking them and then literally turning into wine through the normal process.
The basic story of Jesus is said by such conspiracy theorists and researchers, to be very much in the same vein.
For example, following 21st December – the shortest day and when the Sun is at the lowest point – on 24th/25th December, the Sun begins its long journey back through the zodiac and into the high skies – the new Sun is essentially born. Much like Jesus, the Son of God (Sun God!) was born! As a further point of interest to these theories, many ancient works of art often show the Sun represented by a young child or baby during this time, and furthermore, an older boy at Easter (when it Spring), and during the Summer months – when the Sun is at its strongest or highest point – as a very strong man, often with long, blond hair to depict the bright sun rays. Similarly, winter would often be represented as an old man, now much weakened (or spending less and less time in the sky as we approach winter).

In terms of Jesus, it is said that he was baptized when he turned thirty-years of age. In terms of the Sun in the Zodiac, it enters the House of Aquarius (the water sign) thirty days after its (re)birth. Next is the House of Pisces, represented by a fish. Following his being baptized, Jesus would go forth and take his disciples from the fishermen communities.
The House of Aries – the sign of the Ram – symbolizes Jesus’ time as a shepherd. Incidentally, in ancient times, lambs (baby rams) would be sacrificed to the Sun in the hopes of a good harvest – hence the traditionally eaten lamb around the Easter period in contemporary times. In ancient times, the summer was of great importance due to the need of a healthy harvest. Such things as the House of Taurus, whose symbol is the Bull, represents the plowing of the fields, while the Twins that represent Gemini is symbolic of the planted seeds turning into the harvest – basically reproducing itself.
These months lead to the Summer Solstice of June 21st – a date and time of year that has been celebrated going back to antiquity, such was (and perhaps is) the importance of it. Of course following the Summer, the days begin to shorten and the Sun gradually spends less and less time in the sky. In the story of Jesus, we are now entering the Crucifixion where the Sun “crosses over” into the Autumn. These notions of Jesus dying on the cross come largely from an ancient Sun chart or dial used by astrologers in antiquity.
Jesus dying on the cross between two thieves is representative of the Sun’s journey through the signs of Scorpio and Sagittarius until finally, we reach the Winter Solstice, where the Sun has reached its lowest point. In the story of Jesus, after his death on the cross, he was placed in a dark cave where his body lay for three days before his rebirth. This takes us – in terms of the cycle of the Sun, back to the 24th/25th December, and the “birth” of the new Sun. Even the twelve disciples of Jesus is a nod of the hat to the twelve signs of the zodiac.
If these theories are correct, then what would the reason be for making such claims. On the surface, it would appear to be control of people, which would be accurate. Knowing – as we do – just how important the Sun actually is to human existence on Earth, perhaps it is understandable that such a heavenly body would be worshipped. You can read more about the basis of this theory here.

Hidden Esoteric Knowledge?
However, some believe there is a little more to it than that.
Controversial author David Icke has stated for many years (although certainly not exclusively) that all major religions are different versions of the same thing, and that, according to Icke, is the worshipping of the Sun, and “Sun Gods”. Such things as astrology and other such esoteric wisdom, if you subscribe to Icke’s theories, have been purposefully mocked and ridiculed in order to discredit them, while those in positions of great power (the elite) still use these ancient wisdom to their own ends, and what’s more, this knowledge is passed on, openly in secret, in such stories as the life of Jesus Christ.
Whether at the alleged time Jesus is claimed to have existed there was indeed an individual named Jesus, or another powerful and inspirational person who may have had their identity and life hijacked by the Jesus story is open to debate. As with most subjects of such magnitude, if we ever do discover the absolute truth behind the claims, it will likely prove to be a bizarre combination of the two.
Check out the videos below. The first features the aforementioned David Icke explaining his take on the history of religion. Following that, are several documentaries looking at the various theories on the bloodlines and true story of Jesus?
