UFO Sightings, Alien Abductions, And The Connection To Suspected Underwater Alien Bases!
Sometimes referred to as USOs (Unidentified Submerged Objects) or UUOs (Unidentified Underwater Objects), sightings of strange lights and crafts emerging from, or descending into the seas and oceans of Earth are quite widespread. Some UFO researchers and investigators even claim that there could be underwater bases present in the vicinity of some of these marine-based sightings.
Given that it is said that we know more about the moon than what is going on under the surface of our oceans and seas, it is entirely possible, if not probable, that there will be some things of surprise that we have yet to find. And, most likely, much more activity to document and examine.

Are the strange sightings reported at sea alien crafts?
In October 2014, for example, around 30 miles from Stockholm, Sweden, a strange circular craft was said to have emerged from the Baltic Sea. It appeared to scan its surroundings in the same way a submarine would, before disappearing again beneath the water.
The sighting prompted the Swedish forces to use “sensors” to scan the area in search of the unknown craft. While they suspected it was a foreign submarine, probably Russian, UFO enthusiasts claimed that it was an unidentified submerged object, and that several other sightings had been reported in the area over the previous months. Either way, the operation was the biggest such mobilization of Swedish forces since the fall of the Soviet Union. Russia, for their part, flatly denied that they had any military or experimental watercraft in the area.
The sighting prompted the Swedish forces to use “sensors” to scan the area in search of the unknown craft. While they suspected it was a foreign submarine, probably Russian, UFO enthusiasts claimed that it was an unidentified submerged object, and that several other sightings had been reported in the area over the previous months. Either way, the operation was the biggest such mobilization of Swedish forces since the fall of the Soviet Union. Russia, for their part, flatly denied that they had any military or experimental watercraft in the area.
Around 18 months later in 2016, an alleged artificial object at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, was said by one UFO researcher to show high concentrations of titanium. Titanium has been considered to be an ideal material for an advanced craft due to its strength but also its lightness. Whether the craft spotted on the bottom of the Baltic Sea was the same one that the Swedish forces were scanning the area for is not known.

The Wood/Preston Incident
Strange objects being spotted at sea is not a modern phenomenon. In 2005, almost 30 years after it happened, an incident that had previously been “hushed up” by the Royal Air Force was revealed in documents finally made available to the public to have been very real.
In July 1977, Flight Lieutenant AM Wood, who was based at RAF Boulmer in Northumberland, stated that he could see “bright objects hanging over the (North) sea!” Wood estimated that the objects were around three miles off the coast of northeast England, and at an approximate height of 5,000 feet. He further described them as being “luminous, round and four to five times larger than a Whirlwind helicopter!”
Wood’s report was apparently corroborated by two officers who were stationed at a picket post of the base. They claimed they too observed the strange objects and watched them for over 90 minutes. Further still, the objects were also detected on the base’s radar systems.
Wood was described in the reports as “reliable and sober” – in short, he was a credible witness. The incident was kept from the larger population until the Freedom of Information Act forced their release into the public domain. 14 years prior to the North Sea incident, a short distance away in the North Atlantic was another strange sighting. According to author Walter N. Webb, a lieutenant who served in the British Royal Navy witnessed a UFO that appeared out of nowhere above their fleet before it plunged to the depths of the North Atlantic Ocean below them.
The incident allegedly happened in 1963 off the coast of Norway. The story was told to Webb two decades later in 1984 – who gave the lieutenant the name Tom Preston to protect his identity – by a co-worker of his at the Boston Museum of Science, Valerie Wilcox. She was a friend of the serviceman after he had married an American wife and settled in the United States.

He stated that he was part of a Royal Navy fleet on exercises when out of nowhere a large object descended on them. Judging by how suddenly it appeared on the radar screen, it must have been moving at great speed, before stopping almost instantly. Other ships in the area were contacted and they too confirmed the object to be on their screens, so a radar malfunction was ruled out.
The object monitored the small fleet for several moments before plunging under the surface of the water as jets that had been scrambled to the fleet’s assistance approached. The ship's sonar detectors also picked up on the now submerged object, registering their “ping” for confirmation. The object however was moving at such speed that they soon lost the craft.
Preston stated that later that day he was summoned to speak with a senior officer on board the ship, where he was reminded that he had signed the Official Secrets Act and was not to talk about what they had seen. Preston also noticed that when he returned to duty, a new logbook had replaced the one they had been using, which was, incidentally, nowhere to be found.

UFO Encounters On The Open Waters!
Other sightings have been recorded in seas and oceans on the other side of the world also, with some of the people reporting them coming from high positions in the military.
During an interview with journalist, Rodrigo Ugarte, on Chilean television, a retired admiral in the Chilean Navy, Jorge Martinez, made the statement that UFOs were very real. He knew they were because he had seen them twice while out at sea.
Admiral Martinez stated he had first seen a UFO while out on patrol when he was a lieutenant. He claimed he saw a strange light coming out of the water that was directly in front of his vessel.
Although the first incident was nothing more than a brief sighting, the second, which occurred after he had been placed in command of a Destroyer ship, was more intense. In a report alleged to have been obtained from declassified CIA files on Soviet UFO sightings, came a report from a Russian merchant sailor who claimed to have spotted a strange craft hovering over the Mediterranean Sea in June 1984.
The seaman, Alexander Globa, was aboard the Soviet tanker Gori, when at 4 pm one evening, he witnessed a strange object that he later said reminded him of “an upside-down frying pan!”
While what he perceived to be the top of the craft was flat, the underside had a round shape to it, and the whole craft had a bright metallic shine. Upon closer inspection of the craft, Globa stated that the bottom section appeared to consist of two separate circles that were rotating in opposite directions to each other. This is an interesting point, as this would suggest anti-gravity technology.
Despite the sightings occurring during the day, Globa could easily make out bright lights underneath the craft, including a bright yellow glow in the center of it – again a particular detail that surfaces in other UFO reports.
Globa attempted to get the craft’s attention by using a signal projector, but it seemed to suddenly move upwards as if it were riding a wave that couldn’t be seen before it eventually ascended quickly into the sky. They began to ascend above the clouds and into space, still in echelon (where the craft are arranged diagonally) – ruling out the notion that what they had observed was a meteor. They remained visible for a full two minutes once they had risen above the clouds – suggesting how big their actual size must have been. They then vanished from sight, as if they had never been there.
Three years later, on the other side of the United States in Vermont, a similar object was sighted on July 2nd, 1907 over Burlington. At first, witnesses had described a “torpedo” shaped object traveling across the sky, before a round silver object descended. This time though, witnesses stated it exploded before it hit the ground. Not only did Eric Thomason see a UFO emerging from the sea as he sat on Maslin Beach in Australia in March 1993, but he managed to snap quite a few photographs of it too. As the mysterious object headed towards him, Thomason recalled that he could “feel the water dripping from the craft!”
Thomason was there with his camera that morning as he wanted to document an old mine he had noticed while walking his dog previously. As he made his way over the beach he noticed a strange movement on the water. Amazed, he watched a round object rise from the waves, spinning as it did so. He immediately began to take pictures of the scene.

Even more remarkable, a second, somewhat smaller object then appeared, and Thomason, still taking pictures as best he could, witnessed this smaller object approach the first craft and then “dock” itself to it. A few moments later the two crafts, now essentially one, shot off straight up and out of sight.

It was just after 7 am and they had come to the beach after dropping their 18-year-old daughter at school. After studying it for a moment, George realized that the object, whatever it was, was heading towards Kota Kinabalu International Airport. He estimated its size to be around nine meters long and moving at a speed of between 30 to 40 kilometres per hour.
After a further two minutes, the craft then fully emerged from the water and began to rise in the air, still heading in the same direction. George stated that the craft was completely silent and he could not make out any known means of propulsion that it may have been using. Both he and his wife followed the strange vehicle until they could no longer see it as it disappeared into the distance.

Alien Abductees Taken Below The Water
As well as sightings of strange objects at sea, there are also a number of alien abduction cases that feature details that suggest as opposed to being taken into outer space during their abduction encounter, they were, in fact, taken to an alien base deep under the water. And while some encounters speak in detail of such underwater journeys, others merely hint at them, but in so doing, perhaps alert us to the fact that there could be much more to the notion of underwater alien facilities than merely outlandish tales.
The abduction of Betty and Barney Hill is perhaps a good example. Although their alien abduction experience could fill an entire volume in its own right, it is a small detail that Betty Hill gave during one hypnotic regression that is of most interest to us here, when she claimed that shortly after being taken on board the craft on a lonely road in New Hampshire in September 1961, it appeared as though they were “entering the water”.

Unbeknown to her – or Budd Hopkins, the UFO researcher who investigated the case – was that two security guards (known in reports as “Richard” and “Dan”) were driving the (then) security-general of the United Nations, Javiar Perez de Cuellar, in their high-security vehicle and had stalled near the Brooklyn Bridge where Cortile’s apartment overlooked.
As they stepped out of their vehicle, they were more than amazed to see Cortile with three strange figures “floating through the air” from the apartment to a waiting disc-shaped craft. Then, once inside, the craft made a sharp turn downward and descended into the icy waters of the East River.
What is interesting about the information from these witnesses is that prior to them declaring it to Hopkins, Cortile had already mentioned during regression sessions that she recalled the strange craft coming to a stop under the water. In fact, she could even see the garbage on the river bed and the murky water through a window in the craft.
An encounter that we examined in-depth in our book with UFO Insight (From Deep Within The Archives Of UFO Insight) – that of Orlando Jorge Ferraudi – features very similar details. He would state that after being taken on board a craft while night fishing on a beach in Argentina, it would eventually enter the waters of the Gulf of Mexico eventually emerging in a “giant underwater dome” which he would further describe as a “giant igloo”. Perhaps also interestingly, he would claim that his hosts had informed him that the facility was a “base to recondition our ships”.
Perhaps one of the most intriguing alien abduction encounters with details suggesting the abductee being transported to an underwater alien base is that Filberto Cardenas, who was seemingly abducted from a quiet road on the outskirts of Miami in January 1979. A friend, who Cardenas was driving with when their vehicle suddenly died, witnessed the encounter and would report his friend missing to the local police. Cardenas was eventually found around 10 miles away in the middle of a busy highway.
Once more, it was under hypnotic regression that Cardenas recalled what happened following his abduction. He would claim that after several experiments were conducted on him, he was placed inside a smaller craft that launched itself and took him under the waters. Shortly after, the craft entered an “underwater tunnel” which, in turn, opened out to a “large hangar”.

What’s more, it is said that a certain region around Lake Ontario – named the Great Lakes Triangle – even has a number of strange disappearances on record, including several planes that have seemingly vanished into thin air.
Another ancient lake that has seemingly been home to multiple UFO encounters over the years is Lake Erie in Ohio, including several very similar reports of glowing disc-shaped crafts, not only flying over the water but of suddenly diving into it and disappearing beneath the surface. What’s more, much like Lake Ontario, these sightings and incidents continue right into our contemporary era.

And perhaps of more interest is that many people in this particular region of Wales who claim to have been abducted by aliens also claim to have been taken to such a facility.
Similar claims can be found among the local population of the coastal regions of Puerto Rico, which also has a long and persistent history of UFO sightings. In fact, the coastal regions of Puerto Rico are of particular interest following the claims of UFO researcher, Jorge Martin, who would declare that he had discovered what appeared to be artificial structures below the water just off the coast using NOAA satellite images. What’s more, these “tunnels” appeared to stretch inland, possibly reaching bases deep under the cities inland. One of these was the city of Ponce.
What makes Martin’s claims even more intriguing are reports that surfaced at some points in the late 1980s when local residents in the town of Ponce began to complain to authorities about a constant underground noise, very similar to underground, heavy-duty machinery. After several days of this constant underground activity, the noise and rumblings suddenly stopped. Were the residents of Ponce unwittingly listening to the creation of the tunnels that Martin claimed to have identified years later?
Similar claims can be found among the local population of the coastal regions of Puerto Rico, which also has a long and persistent history of UFO sightings. In fact, the coastal regions of Puerto Rico are of particular interest following the claims of UFO researcher, Jorge Martin, who would declare that he had discovered what appeared to be artificial structures below the water just off the coast using NOAA satellite images. What’s more, these “tunnels” appeared to stretch inland, possibly reaching bases deep under the cities inland. One of these was the city of Ponce.
What makes Martin’s claims even more intriguing are reports that surfaced at some points in the late 1980s when local residents in the town of Ponce began to complain to authorities about a constant underground noise, very similar to underground, heavy-duty machinery. After several days of this constant underground activity, the noise and rumblings suddenly stopped. Were the residents of Ponce unwittingly listening to the creation of the tunnels that Martin claimed to have identified years later?
